Something happened

Today was awesome. For some reason, I was extra excited to see Jacob. We talked about his day, played games and enjoyed dinner on the back porch. He "invented" ham/pear wraps and we chatted. I found myself smiling a lot more and just staring at him ready to make his next move in checkers. I am absolutely in love with this little boy and to think ... he came from me!

What a gift!

Today has been a very special day. My 28th birthday, no school due to flooding (no school tomorrow either) and Jacob finally lost his first tooth! At first he wanted it gone but when it came to it, he just had to hang on. He was adamant about it staying until it was time for it to come out. Robert and I made the executive decision it was time to come out. When he could get it back in the hole, it was time. So Jacob sat on my lap and Robert worked his magic. A few moments later and "Wah-lah!" Jacob was so happy!

When he thinks I can't hear him

Jacob has been back and forth between baths and showers. Lately it's been showers. Tonight, out of nowhere, I hear "Chicken Fried" coming from behind the shower curtain. I sure do love that little boy!

New business idea

I have been out of work now for 6 months now. I came into my dad's office today to help out for a little while and in between answering phones, I have been thinking about an old thought. I remember a few years ago when my dad talked to me about starting my own daycare. He would provide the funds and I would run the business. I am not sure how serious he was on this; it may have been more for pushing me to major in business in college. That thought has stayed with me. Business is in my blood. My dad started his own business with not much of anything 30 years ago. I have seen him build it up and stay afloat during these hard economical times. My works for him and so does one of my brothers. I would LOVE to own my own business, be my own boss, make my daddy proud (I know he already is). How awesome would it be?? So my idea ... A CEREAL BAR! Seriously ... this idea is so freaking cool. I saw this place featured on Food Network a while back and instantly liked the idea. What a perfect place for near Kennesaw State University and the surrounding businesses! What is a cereal bar you ask? It is kind of like Cold Stone Creamery but with cereal. You have tons of different kinds of cereal to choose from and tons of toppings. You can eat in and enjoy free wi-fi or take it to go. S'mores = golden grahams, marshmellows, chocolate chips and chocolate sauce. Just like at Cold Stone, you can pick from an already thought up idea or create your own. Seriously ... how cool is that??
